Corsa Race Axe

Camp calls this the lightest weight certified ice axe in the world.  Camp has made a mark for themselves over the years producing some of the lightest weight climbing and mountaineering equipment in the world.  This axe is designed for competitive ski mountaineering racers who insist on the lightest weight gear available.  Both the shaft and the head are made from lightweight 7075 aluminum.  There is no spike or plug in the end of the shaft, and the "grip" is comprised of holes machined into the shaft for added performance handling while reducing weight and provides a low profile and longer lasting durability when plunging then a traditional overlaid rubberized-style grip might.  This tool is only available in a 50 cm length, which is the minimum standard for the International Ski Mountaineering Federation.
